Our Story
A Legacy of Backyard Living
Our story began in the 1960s when our founders, Dick and Ellie Thatcher, purchased a home with a pool that needed significant repair. After restoring it, they discovered a passion for creating spaces where people could relax, connect, and enjoy life. That moment laid the foundation for what would become, Thatcher Pools and Spas.
For nearly 60 years, we have been helping families across Southeast Minnesota and Northern Iowa transform their backyards into spaces focused on wellness, fun, and connection. While our products and services have grown to include hot tubs, swim spas, pools, saunas, and cold plunges, our purpose has remained the same. We are here to help people feel better, live longer, and have fun.
Today, we continue to build on that legacy by combining quality products, expert guidance, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve.
